VAT returns

The VAT workbench: what is due, what is prepared, and what has been filed.

Updated Reports

The question it answers: where is every VAT return up to?

VAT used to be a tab on Documents and a menu entry of its own. It is a report now, because it answers a question about the firm's position rather than being a place you file paperwork.

How to read it

Returns are grouped by where they are: due, in preparation, filed. The useful reading is the gap between due and prepared, because that is work not yet started on a deadline that does not move.
