Hourly rates
What your firm charges per hour, including overtime, weekends and bank holidays.
For firm administrators
Rates are firm-wide and only firm administrators can change them.
Rates decide what an hour of logged time is worth on an invoice. Orin holds more than one, because an hour is not worth the same in every circumstance.
The variants
- Standard. The ordinary rate.
- Overtime. Beyond the normal working day.
- Weekend. Days your firm's working calendar marks as non-working.
- Bank holiday. Days the calendar marks as a holiday.
Which days are weekends and which are holidays comes from Working calendar, not from the rate card. If weekend rates are being applied on a day you consider ordinary, the calendar is where to look.
Common questions
Changing a rate: does it re-price work already logged? No. Time is valued when it is logged, so a rate change applies from then on. Otherwise last quarter's invoices would change under you.
Can one client have a different rate? Rates here are the firm's list. Client-specific pricing is agreed on the engagement.
