Finding your way around
The sidebar, the top bar, and the controls that follow you across every screen.
Orin keeps the same frame on every screen: a menu down the left, a bar across the top, and your page in the middle. Neither the menu nor the bar scrolls away when the page is long.
The sidebar
The menu lists the places you can go, in the order of a working day. Only the areas you have been given access to appear, so your menu may be shorter than a colleague's.
A number beside a menu item is a count of things waiting. A red one means somebody else is blocked on you. A grey one is just the size of your pile.
You can collapse the menu to a strip of icons to give the page more room.
Collapse or expand it
Press , use the control at the foot of the menu, or double-click any menu icon.
Find a collapsed item
Hover an icon and its name appears beside it.
The top bar
Along the top, from left to right: the Orin mark, a search box, and then your session controls.
- Draft tasks appears only when you have a task you started and did not finish.
- New task creates a task from anywhere. does the same.
- Notifications carries a red count when something needs you.
- Settings and your account menu sit at the far right.

Common questions
The menu lost its highlight. Have I broken something? No. A few screens are reached by clicking through from somewhere else rather than from the menu, and on those nothing lights up. That is deliberate: highlighting the nearest menu item would point you at a section you are not actually in.
