Ask Aiden
What Aiden can answer, what it cannot, and what data it can see.
Aiden is Orin's assistant. It answers questions about your firm's own data and about how Orin works, in a panel that opens beside whatever you are doing.
What it is good at
- Finding things. "Which clients have no engagement this year?"
- Explaining a screen. "What does the dashed row on Capacity mean?"
- Summarising. "What is outstanding on this client's onboarding?"
What it cannot do
It answers, it does not act
Aiden will not raise a task, send a letter, change a rate or issue an invoice. Everything it tells you still has to be done by you, deliberately, on the screen that owns it.
It also cannot see anything you cannot see. Aiden answers within your own access, so two colleagues asking the same question can correctly get different answers.
Asking well
Name the thing
"Which of my tasks are late" beats "what should I do today".
Give it a period
"Last quarter" or "this month". Without one it has to guess, and it will.
Ask one question
Two questions in one message get one answer covering the easier of them.
Aiden is opened from the launcher at the bottom of the screen, and from Ask Aiden in the help menu. Pressing Escape closes it.
Common questions
Is it always right? No. It is very good at finding and summarising, and it can be confidently wrong about what a screen does. If an answer matters, check the screen it points at.
Does my question leave the firm? Questions are answered by an external model, so treat the panel as you would any external service: do not paste anything you would not send outside the firm.
